Dan has had the unique chance to pursue two careers that share the same common goals and utilize the gifts that have been given to him. While he continues his dog training career with his dog training business named The Ruff Life, he additionally is teaching biology for the fourth year at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Fl. By finding a new use for principles from another field he focuses on sharing and demonstrating the principles he has learned in the animal training industry to motivate, engage, and set students up for success in science.

Our Staff are highly successful animal trainers with extensive experience in animal behavior modification.

Our Training Philosophy
 We believe that positive reinforcement is the best way to train any animal. This style of training puts focus on the positive things our four-legged friends do, and very little attention is paid to undesired behaviors. We do not use punishment, shock   collars, or anything of that nature.

Part of the Family
 Making your dog a part of your family requires that your dog be well-mannered and obedient to every command. This is not only for his benefit (imagine a dog that gets off a leash and charges into traffic), but also for the benefit of you and your family and friends. A big, boisterous family dog who won’t stop knocking your two-year-old to the ground is not going to be welcome in the home for long. Too often animals are put to sleep because owners couldn’t control them, and then couldn’t find good homes for them.
