Dan Downs, owner

Dan graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a double major in Zoology and Botany with a concentration in Secondary Education in Science.

His career started out teaching High School Biology and Introduction to Chemistry and Physics.  After teaching, he jumped on board at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago training a variety of animals including walruses, seals, sea lions, birds and dolphins.

Dan traveled to the central Florida area to pursue his dream as a dolphin trainer for 5 years at Sea World/Discovery Cove for guest interactions.  He has also worked as an Assistance Dog Trainer at "Paws with A Cause" national training headquarters and also trains canines for search and rescue teams.

Dan has over 7 years of experience training animals from dolphins to dogs.  His passion and focus now is to teach dog owners how to improve their relationships with their pets, using positive reinforcement techniques, in hopes of creating a better environment for the whole family. Dan deals currently with specialty cases such as complicated aggression, while Autumn and Meghan deal with obedience, problem behaviors, and problem solving techniques.
